An aviators navigational chart for the Mojave wraps this clock. High desert home to Edwards Air Force Base, where records were set and broken and aircraft designs are still being tested there. The orange aircraft at the bottom of the clock represents the "Bell X-1", flown by Air Force test pilot Chuck Yeager, it was the first aircraft to break the sound barrier on October 14 1947.
